The Sino-French Business Climate Forum 2024 will take place on November 5th, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Sofitel Shanghai Hongqiao. Co-hosted by the Embassy of France in China, CCI FRANCE CHINE, and Business France, and supported by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Les Conseillers du Commerce extérieur de la France (CCE), the forum will gather top business leaders, policymakers, experts, and high-ranking officials from both France and China.

The event will focus on strategies for achieving a carbon-free future, with the presence of a French Minister and senior Chinese officials. The discussions will cover various decarbonization strategies in key sectors.

Theme: Towards a Carbon-Free Future – Strategies for Oceans, Cities, and Industries

The forum will explore innovative solutions and collaborations between France and China to decarbonize some of the world’s largest emission-generating sectors. Key discussion topics include:

• Decarbonizing Maritime Transportation: Addressing emissions from global logistics, one of the largest sources of CO2.
• Carbon-Neutral Cities: Exploring how urban decarbonization strategies can shape the cities of tomorrow.
• Industrial Decarbonization: Tackling the challenges and opportunities to reduce emissions in the industrial sector through innovation and new technologies.
